Practical support delivered where it's needed most — from a daily sandwich to a life-changing surgery.
On a daily basis we feed an estimated 600 children at 490 different schools across the Western Cape — kids whose parents or guardians can't afford to pack them lunch.
Projects on a monthly basis include feeding in various townships and informal settlements in and around the Western Cape, and delivering ingredients to the 22 soup kitchens we support across the peninsula.
Every year we run a school shoes and stationery drive, a Winter Blanket Drive, and our 5km WheelWalk at Sea Point Promenade for wheelchair-bound citizens and able-bodied supporters. We also source, pack and distribute 1,200 food parcels in a single day, take three nights of shows at the Cape Town Comedy Jive Festival, host a Donor Gala Dinner, and run a Community Market Day so local traders can sell and earn.
When we come across someone who needs life-altering surgery and doesn't have funding for it, we work with them and their family to raise the funds to make it happen. We also fundraise for disabled sportspeople who need to attend international events and cover their own accommodation and flights.
